Description
Select a coffee with a fine grind appropriate for espresso.
Fill the basket of the espresso machine until it is full, about 1 ½ tablespoons. Tamp the coffee down. Make sure you have a good seal on the expresso machine by wiping away any coffee grinds on the outside lip of the espresso machine.
Use clean and cold water inside the espresso machine and make your espresso according to the manufacture instructions.
Pull the espresso by filling about 2 ounces (50 ml) of espresso into your cup, taking between 40 to 6- seconds for the extraction process. Stop the brewing process on the espresso machine and remove the cup after 60 seconds, so as to not pull more coffee into the cup. This will change the intended flavor of the coffee.
