Description
The image is of an orange and black butterfly with white spots around the top wing edges resting on the green leaves of a plant at Circle B Bar Reserve in Lakeland, Polk County, Florida.
The Monarch butterfly is perhaps one of the most recognizable butterflies. It is known for migrating from the United States to Mexico. The host plant for the Monarch is milkweed. The Viceroy and Queen butterflies look similar to the Monarch butterfly.
