Bobcats can be found all over the world, but, in terms of the United States, they typically prefer to be in the warmer southern states. Bobcats prefer hidden habitats that include being tucked in dens, hollow trees, thickets and rocky areas. Bobcats are carnivores, and they will prey upon smaller mammals. Their diet includes rodents, rabbits and large birds.
