American and British Popular Music (1950-70s)
Popular music in the US during the 50s to the 70s ranged from Doo Wop, R&B, gospel, jazz with the blues, funk, and soul. British popular music during this time saw mostly British rock, Beat music, British rhythm and blues, British soul, Glam rock, Punk rock, and New wave music. All of these genres had their own distinct style of fashion. This exhibit will feature videos of selected artists from these decades.
Hyperpop
Hyperpop (sometimes called digicore) is a loosely-defined music movement characterized by an exaggerated take on popular music, drawing on tropes from electronic, hip hop, and dance music. This exhibit will feature videos of selected hyperpop artists.
