Description
Corinne shared, "The Cricut is a crafting cutting machine that lets you cut over 100 different types materials, including vinyl, poster board, iron-on, heavy fabrics and even wood (with the proper blade). I usually work with permanent and temporary vinyl, but am looking forward to learning more with different materials. I chose to start 'cricutting' during the pandemic more often because my mom, who is a preschool teacher, had recently purchased the Cricut machine to make cut-outs for her classroom, but also for at-home crafts. She has always been into crafting, so I definitely get my crafting abilities from her. At the start of the pandemic, we started to learn how to make designs for t-shirts and reusable cups. I also made a lot of banners for different birthdays and small gatherings, and decor for my mom's classroom. We still do the same and quickly figured out the best practices for making them look professional and unique. We also learned that Cricut crafts make the best, personal gifts for our friends and family. Over the process of using the the Cricut, I have learned a lot about what works and what doesn't and it has been really fun to find a new hobby to pass time during the pandemic. It has also been a great bonding activity with my mom, which I especially am thankful for. I am looking forward to continuing to learn and practice with new materials and other things the Cricut can do."
