Description
Orange wine is a white wine made like red wine - with extended grape skin contact prior to pressing. This is an ancient method of winemaking that is still done in some rural areas of Europe - primarily eastern Europe. Unfiltered with a cloudy vin rustique style, enhancing mouth feel and texture.
Food Pairings: Lamb, goat, grilled aubergine, any kind of smoky aubergine like baba ghanoush, tahini, humus, grilled octopus.
Cheese Pairings: hard - and semi-hard - sheeps cheese, manchego, and a salty sheep cheese like feta.
Alcohol: 6%
