The Queens Garden Trail beginning at Sunrise Point, descending 320 feet (98m), is considered the least difficult trail entering the canyon from the rim. Traveling this trail you will see many hoodoos, representative of garden like features. An account of the resource
In 1832, a local farmer built a grist mill along the newly-finished Columbia-Walpack Turnpike where it crossed a stream known as "Van Campens Mill Brook." By 1875, Millbrook had reached a peak of 75 inhabitants and about nineteen major buildings. Today's Millbrook Village does not replicate the Millbrook of 1832 or 1900. Rather, it evokes the feeling of countryside hamlets where most of the nation's people lived until the end of the 19th century. On summer weekends, several buildings are open to the public and Millbrook Village Society and other volunteers demonstrate the folkways of that era.

Wonderland Trail is a family-friendly coastal trail, popular for birding spot and good tidepooling at low tide. When exploring this area, never turn your back on the water, explore as tide is going out, and be gentle with any creatures in the tidepools. Located between Seawall Campground and the Ship Harbor Trail on Maine Route 102A, Wonderland Trail is an old gravel fire road which leads to the ocean.
The Wonderland Trail is not accessible. The trail has uneven footing in areas.

This short trail (0.5 mi/0.8 km) is located in Twentynine Palms at the Joshua Tree National Park Headquarters. This oasis is unique within the Park due to the more alkaline conditions, the large stand of honey mesquite, and the surrounding playas and fans dominated by desert saltbush and burrobush, which prefer heavier soils. This flat paved loop is the most accessible place to view the California fan palm, as well as a number of plant species found in very few places in the park, such as arrow-weed and Mojave seablite. Along the way, interpretive signs introduce visitors to the historical significance and local ecology of this site, and there are several places to sit down and enjoy the view.

Una Vida is a Chacoan “great house,” a large pre-planned multi-storied public building with distinctive masonry, formal earthen architecture, and a great kiva. Una Vida exists today in a near-natural state of preservation, free from major vandalism, and with only minor excavations and preservation repairs. A one-mile roundtrip (including petroglyphs) trail begins at the NE corner of the Visitor Center parking lot. Portions are rocky, steep, and slippery when wet. Take water and travel in small groups to lessen our impacts to this fragile site.

The Lower Yosemite Fall Trail is a short, easy walk that has incredible views of the Upper and Lower Yosemite Falls, which is the tallest waterfall in North America. This paved loop has exhibits along the way explaining different features of the park. The eastern part of this loop is also wheelchair accessible.

Every evening from late May to October, Brazilian free-tailed bats emerge from Carlsbad Cavern in search of food. Prior to their flight, a ranger will give an informative talk about the bats. This free program takes place at the Bat Flight Amphitheater at the entrance to Carlsbad Caverns. No reservations are required.
