Description

In 1929, Cole Porter’s first major hit, the film adaptation of the Broadway musical Paris was released. While the sound has survived in its entirety on Vitaphone discs, the visual elements have been lost. This original technicolor clip was discovered in 2018 by BFI. This clip synched the visual fragment with the corresponding audio. It features Irene Bordoni and Louise Closser Hale in a stage production singing and dancing.
