Description
This image shows a Roseate Spoonbill flying over the Circle B Bar Reserve in Lakeland, Polk County, Florida.
The Roseate Spoonbill is 1 of 6 species of spoonbills in the world and the only one found in the Americas. They are pale pink birds with brighter pink shoulders and rump. Roseate Spoonbills wade through the shallows of fresh, brackish and marine waters, swinging their head side to side with their bill under the water feeling for prey.
