A 9-minute surviving fragment of the lost silent-era film The Divine Woman from 1928. This film started Greta Garbo and was directed by Victor Sjöstrom. Telling the story of Marianne, an impoverished woman living on a farm in France who dreams of becoming an actress. The film was told in 8 reels with only reel surviving. This reel has 9 minutes and 40 seconds of the film. The intertitles are Russian with English translations under them because it was at Gosfilmofond, a Russian film archive in Moscow Russia, where this one reel was found in 1993.
