The Latin American Surrealist Digital Library aims to contain one of the most comprehensive collections of Latin American Surrealist art on the internet. The Digital Library focuses attention on the first decades of the 20th century, specifically from 1920s-1950s, due to the variety of styles and artists that followed this trend in Latin America. These resources specifically center the Surrealist movement as it manifested in Latin America. This includes: Mexico, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Cuba, Haiti, Peru, Colombia, Chile, Uruguay and Brazil. Works by artists from Spain were also included due to their influence on the art in the region.

The Latin American Surrealist Digital Library contains in-copyright content which is permitted for non-commercial, scholarly and educational use.
