Description
ENG: Constructive Painting. This painting depicts a composition of semi-abstract shapes and symbols representative of Joaquín Torres-García’s stylistic blend of classicism and modernity. His works drew on 20th century movements such as Surrealism alongside more archaic traditions. Torres-García is considered by many to be the father of Latin American Constructivism and influenced many artists such as his former student Juan Miró.
