Dublin Core

Title

Interdimensional Portal

Subject

Street art
Brazilian Americans
Afro-Brazilian cults

Description

Located in Miami Design District’s Jungle Plaza, this piece features four Afro-Brazilian figures in profile mirroring each other and facing the center of the image. The art is vibrant, with the figures accompanied by snake plants, hummingbirds, and serpents which are inspired by Candomblé religious iconography. The creator presents a scene of ritualistic performance, with a transfer of ancient knowledge towards these subjects.
